Walk right back ... to me this minute

Ahh a beautiful day. This Sunday past I managed to get in a 6.1 kilometer walk and it felt pretty good. Sunday evening through Wednesday evening rehearsals for "The Crucible" what a joy it is to work amongst so many fun and talented people. Today I had Mary drop me off 8.4 kilometers from home, an absolutely beatiful day for a walk. I have to say there were a couple of real brutal hills ie Buckleys Mountain, but then there is always the downside aaahhhh. It took me 1 hour and 55 minutes and I have no idea whether this is fast enough to do real good or not but I never stopped for more than a minute just to have a little drink of water. This has been the farthest I've walked in a long long time and when I got home I didn't feel winded which was nice. Who know's maybe tennis will be in my future...

Yesterday she dropped me

off at the end of a road and I walked. Wearing my New Balance sneakers (that Chad and Dre were helpful with their advice on footware with good support,a while back, Thanks again) I set out to walk longer a longer walk, than I have in recent history anyway. It was such a beautiful day to meet many of the neighbors dogs and to speak with a couple of neighbors also. She took the kids with her to church and I had asked her to come back after church to see how far along I was. Well much to my surprise I was at the church and the service was still on. I left a note in our car asking her to just drive home. I continued my walk and about 10 minutes later I heard a car approaching and slowing, I waved to the kids and told Mary to continue on, that I was feeling fine. Interesting enough when I got home, Peter informed me that when he saw me walking along the road carrying my overshirt in my swinging hand and kind of looking down; that it reminded him of Homer Simpson except that when Mary drove by I didn't get upset and start calling or yelling, like Homer did when Marge drove by. I'm not really sure of the episode he refers to, but I got a chuckle out of it. Anyway the odometer reads that I walked 6.1 kilometers. The rest of the day I spent in the yard clearing brush, getting our bench swing back together, listening to the radio and enjoying a beautiful afternoon with my wife and kids. Then off to rehearsal for 6pm. I am enjoying my part of Giles Corey in "The Crucible" and can hardly wait for us to be off book and blocked.

I want to ride my biceecull I want to ride my bike....

Yay I finally rode my bike for about 4 or 5 kilometers and only stopped to pause at a graveyard to look at the stones of some people I knew and some I didn't ... the only other time I stopped was to put the chain back on the sprocket that means I went up the hills without stopping ...YAY!!! Now to do this about 3 times a week.

On a birthday note: Happy Birthday to my dear beautiful wife. You honestly don't look 33 years old at all.

Dream Dream Dream

I had a dream that I was excommunicated from the church because I was content to have but one life , the now life, and I was not concerned with there being an afterlife or not; be it a good afterlife or bad afterlife. The church had decided there was nothing they could do with me.

Hey I thought this blogger thing was supposed to email me when I had comments so I wouldn't have to check on my own.
